Julie Chen Moonves, who was one of the initial hosts and moderators of The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winner talk show) was back on the air August 5 for the 22nd edition. Her real passion came when she started writing, and was awarded an Emmy. She also won an Emmy as a host of an outstanding entertainment talk program. The Talk is a show which analyzes current affairs through five female hosts. Chen Moonves co-hosted CBS NewsThe Morning Show on a weekday The Early Show in 2002 in 2010 and then became host of the talk show. Prior to this, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor in addition to being the news anchor on The Early Show. Following 9/11, she traveled to Cairo for an informative and fascinating interview. Chen Moonves has interviewed newsmakers such as former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, queen Rania of Jordan and former defense secretary William Cohen, and celebrities like Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Viola Davis, Tom Hanks, Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Cruise, Ben Affleck, Barbra Streisand, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Chris Rock, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro, and Jennifer Lopez. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter who has interviewed stars like Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was an editor at WDTN TV Dayton located in Dayton, Dayton, Ohio (1995-1997). She worked as a producer for ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the news affiliate of CBS, and she was an assistant desk in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991), while finishing her senior year at University of Southern California. The desk was hers to ABC News' Nightline program with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is one of her journalists heroes. Chen Moonves, who won Columbia du-Pont for the primetime Anatomy of a Riot special that explored the 1992 Los Angeles riots, worked alongside Koppel.
